1. Personal Area Network
This network is used to communicate with computer devices near the person. Devices, such as computers, printers, fax machines, computers, scanners etc. These personal area networks maintain wired or wireless connections between devices. These networks should be in the range of 20-30 feet and are expected to improve with the advent of technology.
2.LAN (Local Area Network)
LAN can cover a narrow physical region. For example, you can locate your home, office, or confined space. Ethernet technology is used to create LANs with many wires in the node. Using the latest standards, the ITU-T G.hn technology is now capable of creating LAN from home wiring.
LAN and WAN show contrasts between LAN and WAN compared. LAN features a high data transfer speed, a narrow land area, and the need for low-speed endurance communication. Current Ethernet or IEE 802.3 LAN technology can run in the range of 10 Gigabits per second. The IEE project is under investigation to standardize this speed from 40 to 100 gigabytes.

VPN is a technology for connecting large networks using open connections or virtual circuits instead of physical wires. This involves creating a secure tunnel in the existing public communication channel.
VPN topology is a complex technology that uses point-to-point technology.
